Hate Crime Committed At Maryland Church Under Investigation, Police Say

A burglary reported at a Maryland church is being investigated as a hate crime, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

On Tuesday night, an officer from the agency was called to the Friendship Church of the Brethren on Mansion Road in Linthicum Heights to investigate a reported crime that happened over the weekend.

According to police, between Friday, Sept. 15 and Saturday, Sept. 16, an unknown person broke into the church in its off hours and damaged three doors inside the building.

It is not believed that anything was taken, a witness said.

The situation remains under investigation.
